This service, for established patients, is available to obtain the individualized medical advice you need without having to come into the office. Obviously this only works for information sharing, not for physical exams! Patients not previously established at Denton Urology or with Dr. Casey need to first be seen in the office prior to using Online Consultation or Secure Messaging. There can be no exceptions.
Access is available through registration on this site. After registering the office will confirm that you are an established patient, or that you qualify without establishment and then activate your Online Consultation privileges. This process may take up to 3 business days. You will receive an email confirmation when your registration is active. You will also be presented with a Terms of Service agreement which explains your responsibilities and my responsibilities regarding online communication. Once you have accepted this agreement, you will have access to the form to request personalized medical advice online. Just log in and follow the directions.There is a variable fee for this service (up to $75) which will be charged to your credit card if Dr. Casey determines that your question can be adequately addressed online and that he can provide a response. If Dr. Casey feels that the topic can NOT be adequately addressed in this manner, you will receive a reply to that effect, and your credit card will NOT be charged.
Remember, you must FIRST Register, and then LOG-IN to utilize both Online Consultation and Secure Messaging.
|  | Secure Messaging:
Secure messaging is now available for established patients who either previously used standard email with Dr. Casey or who now wish to begin Email messaging with Dr. Casey in a secure manner.
Secure messaging works a lot like regular email and can be used to request prescription refills (though if you receive medications from a local pharmacy, a call there to initiate the process is faster), to ask a non-urgent question of Dr. Casey, or to ask a general question of the office staff or nurse (though a phone call to Pam at (940) 387 2241 will probably be much quicker.)
Messages are checked just once daily when we are in the office, and must not be used for urgent matters. The difference from email is that this is secure and encrypted. This means that the actual message doesn't reside in your email file to be discovered by your family or employer. You access it directly from the website, and can do so from any computer, even when you are away from home. You must register and log in to use this service. After registering the office will confirm that you are an established patient and then activate your secure email privileges. This process may take up to 3 business days. You will receive an email confirmation when your registration is active.
